New challenge: The 1st edition of the Gran Fondo Nevados de Chillán – Valle Las Trancas 2 is coming
Save the date: Saturday, October 11, 2025, will be the day of the first edition of the Gran Fondo Nevados de Chillán, a road cycling race organized by Epic Rides Chile in the Ñuble Region, with the start at the Quilamapu Sports Center in Chillán and the finish at the Nevados de Chillán Hotel, in the Las Trancas Valley.
The race will offer two options for participants:
Gran Fondo Challenge: 120 kilometers with 1,800 meters of elevation gain, starting from the Quilamapu Sports Center in Chillán, crossing the rural communities of Coihueco and Pinto, and finishing at the Nevados Hotel in Chillán.
Medium Fondo Challenge: 60 kilometers with 1,600 meters of elevation gain, starting in the community of Pinto and finishing at the Nevados Hotel.
Schedule
Saturday, September 13: Route reconnaissance (9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) in Chillán.
Tuesday, October 7: Online technical talk (7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
Friday, October 10: Expo and kit pickup (12:00 – 20:00) at the Quilamapu Sports Center.
Saturday, October 11: Race start (9:00 – 15:00).
Competition Kit
On Friday, October 10th, the day before the race, an Expo will be held at the Quilamapu Sports Center, where participants can pick up their competition kits, which include:
Competition number.
Competition chip.
Competition wristband.
Competition jersey.
Sponsor gifts and discount coupons.
In addition, the Expo will feature sponsor brand stands, technical assistance, and other activities.
