MALLARAUCO – CASABLANCA / OLYMPIC TEAM

Smooth ride through the valley.
This tour was specially designed for the olympic team triathlon team. We invite them to enjoy a route close to santiago but little known due to the logistical inconveniences. We start in the Mallarauco sector from where we begin our ride to the town of Curacavi, to cross the regional border of the capital city, Santiago with the v region of Valparaíso, arriving in Casablanca and returning through the Ibacache slope again to Mallarauco. It is a mostly flat route but demanding in distance, it also crosses two medium demanding slopes, ibacache and pangue, reaching a total elevation of 1,341mt / 4,400ft. It is a very clear route with beautiful landscapes, especially when approaching the top of the pangue slope. It also has pavement in excellent condition! Definitely worth riding!

ROUTE ITINERARY
DAY 1 | HAPPINESS
Today we’ll ride on through the forested heart of the Petit Luberon, peering out across the valley floor with its patchwork of orchards and vineyards. Enjoy views from the wealthy and picturesque village of Bonnieux, and stop for a cappuccino in Lacoste. We’ll learn about Côtes du Luberon wines in a domaine near Ménerbes, then enjoy a lovely picnic prepared by your guides. This afternoon, we spin to Roussillon to admire the local artists’ colorful creations in the town’s many galleries. Later, transfer to the small village of Robion and meet our dear friend Veronique. In her home kitchen, we’ll learn to cook classic Provençal dishes, then sample our creations on Veronique’s charming terrace.
